I have created a mail merge with the data coming from a
Pipe delimited file. I have created a header field and all th
necessary data in the document. The Field Delimiters are seperated
by a '|' symbol, and the Record Delimiters are seperated
with a '|'. When I open the file with more than 8 records it works fin
and if I dont have 9 or more records, I have to select the
Field and Record delimiters. Is
there any way of eliminating this ?  Any idea why this is happening..
I have tried eliminating all special characters and still it is
problem... When I have only one record, if I copy the record 9 times,
dont' get the Header Record Delimiter.  Please help

Hi Latha,

Word requires a certain number of "data rows" in order to be certain of
the delimiters (find a pattern). Something that often works is to
duplicate the row of field names in the header file. IOW

Field1|Field2|Field3
Field1|Field2|Field3
