Page Setup on merge doc

The Page Setup option under File is grayed out on a merge document I'v just
created. How come, and how can I set it???? I need to change the margins.

Found my answer, but have no idea why: after I clicked some point in the
body of the document, Page Setup magically appeared un-grayed.

Beats me.

If the cursor is in, say, a Frame, or you've selected a Drawing object,
this command will not be available.
