Doubling records

I'm trying to output a mail merge file that is 2 postcards
on an 8.5 x 11" sheet.  I have put all the necessary
fields in so that I can do 2-up.  This includes the <next
record> field before the second occurence.  The piece is
two sided. . .so the layout is on Side1: Front, Back
(vertically) and on Side2:  Back, Front so it will
automatically back up on the printer.

The problem I can't figure out is why it is doubling
records.  I have record 1 and 2 on my first page. . .but
when I scroll onto the second printed page of the merge
file, I have 2 and 3, then 3 and 4.  (Should be 1&2, 3&4,
etc.)

Any ideas?!?  TIA

Hi Steve,

I think I know what " The piece is two sided. . .so the layout is on Side1:
Front, Back (vertically) and on Side2:  Back, Front so it will automatically
back up on the printer." is intended to mean,  but what are you doing to
achieve this?

Also is the layout that you want to achieve

Front        Back

1                    1
2                    2

or

Front        Back

1                    3
2                    4
