I am creating a simple directory, merging data from Excel 2002 to Word
2002.  Each instance of a <blank> Date field in the Excel file causes
Today's Date to show up in the merged doc.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Paul

You can either use a conditional field to detect a blank field and insert
something appropriate or revert to the old method of connection to the
data - see the Excel data section of
