Office XP SP2
Windows 2000 SP2

I have a document that I use Microsoft Query to retreive data from an IBM
AS/400.

Here's my problem.
When the document is merged, the formatted number is sometimes wrong. If the
number has both cent positions filled in ie) 867.77 the result is correct.
If the amount is a full dollar amount ie) 867.00 the result is correct. The
problem occur when the cents amount is a multiple of .10 .  If the amount is
866.70 the result becomes 873.00. I can consistently make this fail.

What is seems to be doing is taking the full dollar amount and adding the
number in the 10ths spot to the amount.
Examples:  50.50 becomes 55.00
               123.90 becomes 132.00 etc.

If I just run the query the amount is correct.

Here is my mergefield:
   { MERGEFIELD PNFINE \# "#,##0.00"}

I have tried a variety of formatting options  - even the \* DOLLARTEXT will
produce the above errors.

I am at my wits end.
Any solution will be appreciated.

One other piece of information. This does not only happen on my machine. It
has failed on 2 other machines.

Thanks - Frank
