Internet/e-mail password requests

I have been experiencing a problem where my Outlook 2002
keeps requesting my password, even though it is correctly
stated right in the box that is requesting the
information.  My account is set up to remember the
password, but these requests kept coming.

I found one suggestion from Nov 26, 2003, about redoing
the registry keys (http://support.microsoft.com/?
id=290684), but that failed to fix my problem.  Also tried
rebooting and reloading Microsoft Office.

My ISP finally responded to my inquiry and advised that
frequently corrupt e-mail messages get stuck in your In
Box on the server and that causes this symtom.  So if you
are having a similar problem, go to your mailbox on the
server and delete all of the messages.  If there are some
of them you might want to save, put them in a separate box
and delete the rest.  Then bring the saved ones into the
In Box one at a time to see if any of them are corrupt.

This appears to have worked to solve my problem.  Hope it
works for you.
