I am not sure what you are looking for here, but with respect to the
registry location for the Data Sources folder, I posted the following a few
days back:
This information is stored in the registry at:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\DataServices
where 11.0 is the Word version - here Word 2003
You can change the path to another sub folder of My Documents, but not,
apparently, to a folder outside the My Documents tree.
Change the MyData key entry to the name of the required sub folder - eg I
use a sub folder of My Documents called 'Test' as my default folder.
Back up the registry key before making any changes.

Thanks for the info; unfortunately, what I need to do is
to have the data in a folder outside of my docs - I am
using the data files on two computers and on one computer
the drive where I keep my docs is full but I have
sufficient room to store just the data sources and I
wanted word to go straight to that folder rather than
looking in my docs when I do a link.
