Hi,

With Word 2002, in my canvas, I have the field PRINTDATE.
After the mail merge with a Word data source, this field
in the footer is now a free text field.  I have the same
problem with the field PAGE.  Why this is happen ?

Thank everyone for your response.

That does not happen for me.  If you want to send the document to me I will
have a look at it

Hi everyone,

I've tried some things suggested by the France people
but it doesn't works.  Here is what I've tried.  I've
changed the field DATEIMPR by PRINTDATE and I've verified
if the fields appears in shading.  It doesn't.  I press
the combination Alt+F9 and the fields such as PRINTDATE,
PAGE and SECTIONPAGES don't appear as a coded fields.
The result is after the merge in a new document, the
above fields don't updated.

Have you other suggestions ?

Thank you

Did you use Ctrl+F9 to insert the field delimiters { }  You cannot insert
them directly from the keyboard.

My previous offer still stands if you want to send the document to me.

Hi,

The delimiters are assigned by using the mail merge
wizard called « Insert a keyword » (Insérer un Mot-Clé) on
the mail merge toolbar.
