I am mail merging from excel into word. One of the field I am merging is large. In the word doc only the first 250 characters appears the rest is missing. Any Ideas? If you are using Word 2002 or 2003, try changing the way Word connects to Excel: Word ools|Options|General|"COnfirm conversions at open", then reconnect and choose (e.g.) the DDE option when prompted.
