MS Office Forum / Word / Mailmerge and Fax / March 2004Mail Merge with Acesss query
I cannot open my access query to merge it with a Word document. It does not show up as a data source. If you are using Word 2002 or 2003, you will probably need to change the way Word connects to Access - check Word Tools|Options|General|"Confirm conversions at open", go through the connection process again, and choose DDE (probably the best bet) or ODBC (may work, and does not have to start Access). The default connection method OLEDB cannot see certain types of query for some reason.
