merge fields in subject line

I am needing to do a mail merge to e-mail and would like to have the e-mail address I am sending to be a part of the subject line.  Is there any way to do this

Not via the built in mailmerge facility.

It could be down with a modification to the code in the article "Mail Merge
to E-mail with Attachments" at
