Hello,
I am mail merging with a text file that is seperated by commas. All the
fields that are in the mail merged text file are surrounded by speech marks
Within some of these fields ,e.g. i have an address field , commas can
appear within the speech marks.
For example "The Road, a village"
I would like for word to ignore the commas within the speechmarks. If not
the whole thing can go wrong!!
I am using Word 2000 but would like it to work in Word 97 and newer.
All the best
Graham

You need to change the comma field separator for something else - e.g. |
If the fields are separated with commas and speech marks e.g.
"Field1","Field2","Field3
then replace "," with "|"
to give
"Field1"|"Field2"|"Field3
