MS Office Forum / Word / Mailmerge and Fax / April 2004Can I combine two data lists?
I have two data files (addresses) for a customer that I need to combine into one master file. The fields are identical. But I'm not sure I found the right instructions. I'm looking at "Combine lists into one list," but this appears to be about combining text. I need to combine two files. Help! So I don't know how to "copy and paste" one .mdb file into another. I can't call them up into Word because they look like garbage. With Access data, you probably need to open one file in Access and import the second data file into the first. This will give you two documents, each containing a table populated with all of the data. You can then select and copy one table and paste it into the table in the other document, then insert a row at the beginning of the table and insert the field names into that row.
