Word MailMerge Anomaly

On one machine using the same front end Access program, a
built in Word merge document only shows all the
mergefields of the document, BUT won't permit the user to
View Merged Data to change to the data in the record
source.  The document prints properly with all the
mergedata.
I sure would appreciate some help.

A few thoughts and possibilities:

Which version of Word/Access? Do all the machines have the same versions? Do
they also have the same version of the Data Access software ("MDAC")?

What actually goes wrong? Is the option greyed out?

Could it be a permissions problem (e.g. a file access permission problem, or
maybe this user has a different Access workgroup security database set up)?

Thanks--I'll check your points to see if there is a
solution in there somewhere.
