office 97, when making labels in word (excel data source) zip code is not an
option on the drop down menu to insert fields. Where does word pull these
from? I would have thought it was the source data, but the source has the
zip code field in it.
Thanks

The mergefield names do come from the datasource.  Word 97 may however not
be able to handle field names containing a space.  Try renaming the field in
Excel to zipcode.
