I'm at a dead end trying to create address labels. When
I click 'Choose Contacts Folder' I receive the
message 'Unable to obtain list of tables from the data
source'.
I'm trying to import data from a folder in the address
book from Outlook Express into Word 2002.
I've tried troubleshooting by going into the address
book clicking tools>options> and selecting and
unselecting the radio dial for share and unshare the
files with other programs. No luck there.
Have also gone into Control Panel>Add/Remove programs
and noticed that Microsoft Works Suite Add-In for
Microsoft Word is listed but no program size is listed.
I've re-installed this off the Works Suite 2002 disc and
re-booted...again no resolution there.
Any help to get these address labels created would be
Much appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
The procedure for labels is listed at
http://www.gmayor.com/mail_merge_labels_with_word_xp.htm
However a couple of extra details are warranted.
1. You cannot use the Outlook Express address book unless you first export
it to a text file. You can then use that file as a data source.
2. The Works add-in is notoriously buggy. Uninstall it. It is not going to
help with the merge issue.

How do I export to a text file? I've tried several text
file extensions but always end up with just code.
Thanks again
