Hello,
I've been creating Labels in Word 2002 from mailing lists
in Excel 2002. Some of the data in the "Zip Code" column in
Excel is 5 digits (e.g. 92714) while others are 5 digits +
4 digits (e.g. 92714-8445). These are all formatted as
"General".
When the data is merged into Word, each 5 digit entry comes
out fine. But the fields with 5 + 4 digits all come out as
"0".
The rest of the fields (name, street address, city, etc.)
all come out fine.
Would really appreciate any assistance on this problem.
Thank you!

See the zip code entry at http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm
If this doesn't fix it, follow the link in the note at the beginning of that
page and checkout the section on Excel data.
