labels & address book groups

I am using Word 2000 on a Windows 98 machine.I'm  making
mailing lables using the accessories address book as my
data source. However, I want to make labels only for a
certain group in the address book. So far when I select
the source, I end up with labels for all contcts. I can't
find an option to select just a group within the address
book. Any help would be appreciated!

Go to:

There you will find some procedures to download that will
explain how to select the labels you want.  You may have
to convert you address book to a regular database to do
this.  There is a procedure for this in the reference
given.

This group would have to have some criterium in common (like
everyone whose last name is Smith or everyone from a
particular State). Then you can use the "Query Options" from
the Mailmerge Helper or Mailmerge... toolbar button to set
that.

If it's just "I want him, her, her and him" then Word 2000
doesn't provide you any way to do it. Word 2002/2003 would,
however. I'm not familiar with the address book you're
using, but if it will let you define your own fields, then
you could add a field and mark it for the ones you want to
use, then use that as the criterium.
