Mail Merge Options Won't Work

I am using Word 2000 in Office.  When I click on mail merge I get the option to click document type or options and when I click them, nothing happens.  I just return to the main document

What you're describing isn't ringing any bells, here...

You go over the Tools menu? And do you choose "Merge document" or "Mail merge"? If the former, that's something else :-)

If the latter, can you then describe more exactly what you see, what actions you take, and what Word does in response to each action?
