I work for a large pharmaceutical manufacturer in the
United States.  My job, as a Sr. Technical Writer is to
create/revise laboratory procedures.  One of the functions
I require is an automatic (paragraph) numbering system in
order to eliminate manual typing of paragraph numbering.
Our corporate standard is MS Word 2000 (and we have no
plans to upgrade anytime in the near future).

Due to the glitches with normal paragraph numbering, I
have created separate sequence numbers for my steps using
the SEQ field code.  This works beautifully.  The problem
lies in that I am unable to cross reference these numbers
(at least I have not figured out how to do this).

If you know how to cross reference SEQ field codes, I
would appreciate learning how to do this.

Thank you.
