You may be better off asking in an Outlook group on this one. But what field
are you specifying as the e-mail address - is it a field that contains an
address (e.g. a@b.c.d ) or a field that contains a name that you would
expect to find in your address book/contacts folder?

By the way, do you see the security messages that Outlook normally pops up
for each record you try to merge? If not, are you using the merge to HTML
e-mail format?

Hi Peter,
Thanks for the reply! I did get it resolved by doing late binding instead of
early in the VBA code when loading the contact folder. Don't know why all of
sudden the early binding to outlook doesn't work but Oh well!
Thanks again Peter, appreciated. Oh BTW I did start getting a security
warning which apparently came about with service pack 3. I made the registry
entries as indicated on the MS knowledge base and it solved that problem.

Vic,
Thanks for the feedback. I hadn't realised you were initiating via code -
it's useful because I'm trying to track down circumstances in which e-mails
"just disappear" so if you're still keeping an eye on this thread I would
appreciate it if you could despam my address and send me samples of the
relevant bits of "working" and "non-working" VBA.
