When I merge my Excel spreadsheet into a Word document
all the amounts come out as shown in the formula bar in
Excel and not as shown in the actual cell in the sheet,
e.g. in the formula bar there are no decimal points -
2.000111111 and in the cell it shows up as follows 2.0
Many thanks

Hi Telita,
You'll probably find that the Excel data is actually the same as what Word's
showing, except that Excel is formatted to show only 2 decimal places.
To get the same result in Word, add a numeric picture switch to the
mailmerge field, like '\# 0.00', so that your field looks something like:
{MEGEFIELD Data \# 0.00} or {MEGEFIELD Data \# 0.00 \* Mergeformat}
Cheers

Word displays the raw data from Excel and is now expected to provide the
formatting - see http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm
