Hi Rab,

Which version of Word are you using?

Hi Rab,

Word 2000 doesn't support email merge to HTML format. Only plain text, or
attachments. You need to either upgrade to Word 2002 or use a third-party
application to do email merges. You should find some listed at

I have Office 2002 and when I exicute an email merge from Outlook it converts my email to Plain Text. I have my default email type set to HTML but the mail merge still converts it to Plain Text.  When I exicute the merge from Word it runs through the contacts I have selected but it does not actually create the emails.

How can I perform a email merge between Outlook 2002 and Word 2002 and have the email created as HTML?
