Calculate a future date

I want to calculate a future date based on a date in my database when
I do a mail merge. My database does not have this furture date so I
cannot pull it directly.

Example: The database has a purchase date of 4/22/04. I want the
letter to say "Your vehicle is due for it's first oil change on
07/22/04." I need to add 90 days to the purchase date to get my
future date.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

You'll need a very complex field to do this. You can start by downloading
the document at

which has a number of such fields that you can work with.

different kinds of ways to make a date calculation work. It includes links
to pages with fields and an explanation of different macros that can be used
instead of fields.

You will probably find it a lot easier to use a query in the database with
an expression that returns the future date and then use that query as the
datasource than to try and do this in Word.
