Hi!

As part of a mailmerge document I need to insert a pie
chart.  The pie chart will be different for each merged
record.  I know there is an "insert excel chart"
and "insert picture" option in Word, but I can't seem to
figure out how to connect that with the merged data.

I greatly appreciate any help you can provide!!!

Thanks so much,
Steph

Is your data in Excel? If not, perhaps you need to put it there and generate
a chart.

Yes, the data is in Excel.  There are almost 500 records
though.  Will I need to generate a chart for each record?

Thanks!
Steph

Only if you want a chart for each record. The thing is, Excel's charting
capability is much greater than anything in Word.

I don't have much time at the moment, but...

This question is asked every couple of months. If you do a
Google search in this NG you should turn up discussions on
the point where I outline the three basic approaches that
can be used. Be warned: This is not something Word
knows how to do without a lot of help. None of the methods
is particularly "quick-and-easy".

Hi Cindy.

Can you please indicate where your response to Steph's
