% Format Lost

I am merging from access. I have created a query and used
calculations. I've formatted the calculated fields to
display as a percentage with no decimal places. When
opening the query the formatting works. When I merge to
Word the formatting is lost and istead of saying 40%, it
will come up as 0.41354836739. Any support would be very
helpful.

Word is now expected to provide the formatting and from your calculation has
worked out the result to be
0.41354836739 which equates to a round figure of 41%
To get it to display that, you would need to use a calculated field in Word
eg

{={Mergefield fieldname} * 100 \# "0%"}

This may sound like I know nothing, but when I enter that
formula a santax error comes up, or a undefined bookmark,
ANDORRAPE. messsge comes up. What is the exact code I
would need to input for the merge field "andorrapercent"
for example? Also it is in the formula menu under table?

If the data field is called 'andorrapercent'

then the construction would be:
{={Mergefield andorrapercent} * 100 \# "0%"}

Note that you need to enter this manually using CTRL+F9 to set each pair of
field boundaries - see http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm
which I updated as a result of your question.

I am still trying to resolve this, but I get the error
message "!santex error, andorrape" I am using Word 2000
(I don't know if this makes a difference)
