big merge and page number

Hello

I have a large merge to do with a four page original document. The orginal document, in its footer, shows
" Page 1 of 4

The problem is that when I do the merge - into a new document - suddenly that becomes (i.e. 100 recipients

" Page 1 of 400

Question: is there a way to do the merge - into a single document - and keep the " Page 1 of 4 " for each recipient

In place of the { NUMPAGES } field, use a { SECTIONPAGES } field.
