Ordering Recipient List

Somehow under MailMerge Recipients I got the first name
in the grey columns at the top. Trying to straighten that
out I clicked on the column top which changed the
sorting. I just want the sorting in the original Address
file, which is by last name, even though the first name
appears first on the line.

I'd appreciate help turning off this automatic sorting,
(and retrieving that first name which doesn't show up in
the merge).

Thanks!

Every time you click on the grey area in the mailmerge recipients dialog,
the sort order of the column is changed from none to ascending to descending
then back to ascending.  To put it back the way that it was originally,
click on the Refresh button.

If the first name does not show up in the merged document, are you sure that
you inserted a mergefield for the first name?
