In a mail merge document, with a header (or footer) listing page x of y total pages, I cannot get the "y of total pages" number to be the total number of pages for each, individual merged letter, and not for the doument as a whole.  The "x page" correctly displays the page number of each individual letter in the merged document (for example in a 3 page letter, with page one suppressed, the first letter to John Doe reads page 2 of y, the next page reads page 3 of y (where y should equal a total page count of 3).  However, if there is a total of 10 recipients, my "y of total pages" is reading page 2 of 30, page 3 of 30 in each merged letter.  I have tried to correctly set this in File, Page Layout to account for the section breaks, but I must not be doing something incorrectly.  Any help greatly appreciated, thank you.

Hi Ava,

In the mailmerge main document, toggle on the field codes (Alt+F9) and
replace the { NUMPAGES } field that you will see with { SECTIONPAGES }.

I'm sorry to re-open this thread, but I have an additional questio
regarding the sectionpages field.

If there's more than one section in the main document, th
sectionspages field will not return the total number of pages of eac
individual document, but only for the current section.

How can I solve that problem?

Regards
