I am working on a template for my office and I am trying
to bold all of the text inserted by the ask/ref fields.
The document is not protected, i have \* MERGEFORMAT
insterted into all of the fields, and then I apply the
formatting to the codes, but when I try to make a new
document based on the template, sometimes the formatting
works and sometimes it is only applied to the first
letter. What is the problem???

Change MERGEFORMAT to CHARFORMAT and format the first letter of your field
"R" the way you want the result formatted.
