When I merge a word document with an Access database I
find that the formatting of numeric fields is incorrect.
The original table is formatted to 2 decimal places but
in the Mail Merge Recipients window and in the merged
document the decimal places are numerous.  Also there are
fields which include calculations in the original table
but the calculated data does not appear in the Mail Merge
recipients window nor in the merged document.  Can anyone
help?

See "Formatting Word fields with switches" on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's
website at

http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm

For the calculation problem, you may be able to do the calculation in word
by putting the base mergefields inside an { = } field construction in the
mailmerge main document.

Alternatively, if you check the "Confirm conversions at Open" box under
Tools> Options>General and change the connection method, the calculated data
may appear.
