data does not appear where it should

i am merging from excel to word and have 60 connections
linking letter to sheet. All of them go where they should apart from 1 column of 4 which keeps displaying in the next box down to where they should be.
I also have another problem with the same column which is it swop,s data with the column next to it.
eg

First Class    Last Class
Mon 13th Sept
Wed 15th Sept    Mon 29th Nov
Wed 15th Sept    Wed 1st Dec
Wed 15th Sept    Wed 1st Dec
Wed 1st Dec
Any help ould be very muh appreciated.

I'm not clear on the exact problem, although the general one I get (data is coming through
where it doesn't belong). Which version of Word?
