Is it possible to use Merge in a Form in Word 97 or 2000?  When I protect
the form the merge field is also protected & I can no longer use the merge
feature.

Hi Harvey,

The two features are basically incompatible.

If the features are not compatible do you, or any one else,  have any
suggestions on how to create a form, in this case a statement/invoice, that
uses a data base of customers to fill in a name & address and a table that
requires input & calculation.  I created one that is similar and used a drop
down box to fill in the names & addresses, but this one needs in excess of
100 different names.

Thanks for the help!!
