I have a mailing list in a comma delimited format which I
can successfully import into Word but the name field has
the last name listed first, then a comma and one space and
then the first name.  Is there any way I can easily get
the name to print with the first name first and then a
space and then the last name without any comma in the
field?

On the face of it you should be able to create a catalog/directory merge to
a new document placing the fields as you require them. The new document with
the addition of your revised field names as the first row will be a revised
mailing list.
Alternatively, convert the text to a table and move the columns around. You
can leave the data file as a table.
