I am create several Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) and in those procedures I have several sections that are duped in each one. Is there a way to create just one and link it to those SOP's without having to retype the info for each one? and can I just one master sop that will change the rest of them? Thanks for your help.

Tony,

You could do this a couple of ways.  If you want the entire contents of a
file to appear as "duped" text in several other files then you can use
Insert>Object>Create from file>Link to file and select the appropriate file.
If you wanted sections of a file to appear as "duped" material in other
files then you could bookmark the material and the use INCLUDETEXT fields in
the other documents.  INCLUDETEXT fields are well explained in Word Help.

Thanks for responding so quickly. I tried using the insert object and created it in an empty document for a test, but it only shows me the first page of the document. I would like to place the whole document in front of the procedure. Is there a way to do this? I did link it. when i double click on the object in the new doc it opens up the whole master doc. I hope i'm not confusing you. I just want to make it easier for me since i have so many documents that i need to place this document in.  thanks
