I have a word merge document which calls a query in an
access database. It's worked for ages and has suddenly
stopped. Word hangs 'waiting for Microsoft Access to
Accept DDDE Commands. I'm using Access and Word 2000.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

If you set up a new document to merge, does that work?

And how about if you try to access a table, instead of a
query?

There's an option in Access that prevents DDE calls
(somewhere under Tools/Options). Are you sure that has not
been enabled?
