I need to merge a letter that is as follows...

Dear <<SCHOOL NAME>>

You have the following pupils....

<<PUPIL_NAME>>
<<PUPIL_NAME>>
<<PUPIL_NAME>>
<<PUPIL_NAME>>
<<PUPIL_NAME>>
<<PUPIL_NAME>>

Is this possible? How can I create a list of pupils per
school rather than a seperate letter for each pupil going
to the same school?

Thanks

Aaron

You can do this but it is a fiddle - see the special merges information on
Cindy's web site

Aaron,

The set, if field method described in the KB article from
Cindy's link isn't that gnarly when applied with a
relatively small number of students (like six in your
example).  I just experimented and it works quite well. An
entire student body would be a different matter.
