I am trying to merge numerical data from access to word
2002. In the previous version of word the merged fields
all show the correct data but in word 2002 the data
amounts are changed. I have tried the various switches
and although they work some of the time it is not
consistent. If the figure to be displayed is £10.10 it
displays £11.00 with the switches and 10.1 without. Other
amounts display correctly in the same field. How do I
overcome this problem.
Also does anyone know how to stop access storing numbers
with four decimal places when only two are specified and
only two are required and displayed. It can make
calculations out by one or two pence from the displayed
figures.

See "Formatting Word fields with switches" on fellow MVP Graham Mayor's
website at

http://www.gmayor.com/formatting_word_fields.htm

If that doesn't help, create a query in Access in which you use the Format()
function the convert the numeric data to the required text format and use
that query as the data source.
