I am currently merging a Word document with an Excel document.   The Excel document contains some fields that have data that is greater than 255 characters.  I can get it to work on every computer except two.  I have gotten it to work in Word 2000/2002/XP.  It's currently not working on two computers with Word 2000.  Is there any setting on the computers with Word 2000 that I can set to make it work like the other computers with Word 2000?

I'm guessing that it's a question of how Word is linking to the data. If you activate the
"Select method" checkbox in the Open Data source dialog box of a "good" and a "bad" Word
2000 installation, you should get a list of available connection methods. Are the contents
of the two lists the same? And is the same method preselected in both cases?
