MS Office Forum / Word / Mailmerge and Fax / August 2004Mailmerge Word 2000 vs Word 2002
I have a VB program that has for years been happily mailmerging with older Windows, Word and Excel versions. Now a customer has an XP installation with Office 2002. Whenever the program now starts a mailmerge, Word throws up the box with sheets in the workbook and asks to select one. I have tried many variations in the OpenDatasource statement but cannot get rid of this problem. I noticed in one of Graham Mayor's tips that there has been a change in the way Office programs connect, does that have any bearing on my problem? It is *entirely* the issue. A few questions remain however. Your page is not explicit on whether the option should be ticked or un-ticked and does this have positive effects for my program?
