Graham,
Thanks for your speedy reaction. A few questions remain
however. Your page is not explicit on whether the option
should be ticked or un-ticked and does this have positive
effects for my program?
The mailmerge in question takes place un-attended, there's
no-one to manually select a type of connection.

Whereas my page was more concerned with simple merges, fellow MVP Cindy
Meister has documented the issues more fully at

helps you resolve the problems.
