I am completeing a mail merge for over 850 records. I have no formulee
and the data is in the first workbook for the mail merge. My problem
being, i am getting the "Field Calculation Error occurred on record 1,
2, 3, etc". If i do a small run, it looks perfect, but i have to ok
the error statements.

To have attempted to remedy the situation by copying the data into a
new file, checked all the column headings with the merge fields on the
statement and have played around with the format of the statement but
to no avail. I have also accepted any track changes that were
outstanding.

How can i remove this error? Can anyone help me as i have ran out of
ideas.

Many Thanks
Mal Wilson

I have been experiencing the same error today.  I found
some documentation that suggested that there would be a
field calculation error if any of the cells in Excel are
blank.  Unfortunately, that explanation doesn't make
sense.  Another possibility in my case is that I was using
the includetext command to pull in other Word docs.  (If
condition is true, pull in document A, but if false, pull
in document B.)  It used to work fine, but not as of
today.  I embedded all my extra documents in the main doc
and the errors stopped.  My only problem now is that my
main document is huge and unwieldy.

Using Word 2002 and Windows 2000,

Peggy

Might you have installed an SP-update since this worked
last?
