I am trying to do labels using mail merge.
The data is coming from an excel spreadsheet.
My zip codes are mostly in Connecticut and therefore have
a leading zero ex. 06810.
When my labels come out in mail merge it keeps dropping
the leading zero in the zip code.
Any suggestions?
I've already tried setting it up as special - zip in
excel and also tried custom with 5 digits.
Thank you.

Add a formatting switch as shown to the mergefield that returns the zipcode

{MERGEFIELD "ZIP" \# "00000"}
