I have attempted to name and create custom fields on
document properties tab, but continue hitting snag on how
to insert these new custom named fields into my documents.
I am familiar with the fields in document properties, but
would like to create and insert custom named fields that
can be edited and updated in one location, e.g.,
properties tab.
Can anyone point me in the right location to locate a
procedure for doing this? Word online help is of no
assistance.
Thank you
Cindy

If you create a custom property eg called MyField then you can insert the
content using a Docproperty field.
{DOCPROPERTY MyField } The custom field will be listed in the available
fields from the docproperty field dialog.

You are welcome - you could also consider autotext, and insert with an
autotext field.
