Hi,

I already post something under subject rich text but i know a little bit
more after searching on the internet and forums.
Actualy it's preformated text as HTML stored in an SQL field.
When i want to merge it with Word it doesn't understand the formatting like
<p>text</p> for paragraph.
Isn't there some macro which is capable to format it in the right way?
Or is it a solution to insert a link to a file with the formatted text? I
hope someone knows how to help me because it's very urgent for me. Thanks,

Hi Walter,

See my reply to your first message. The basic information is the same, except
you can write the data to an HTML table, then link to that for the mail
merge.

This is probably what you need to do, - you would have to create a .htm or
.html file containing your text and link to it using an INCLUDETEXT field.
You would probably need to have a field in your data source that held the
name, or part of the name, of the .htm file, and use a MERGEFIELD field
nested within the INCLUDETEXT

e.g.

{ INCLUDETEXT "c:\\mypath\\{ MERGEFIELD myhtmlfilename }" \c HTML }

Your HTML would probably need to be quite simple to make this work - and it
may still not work because Word may insert an unhelpful paragraph mark at
the end of your text.
