Last week, I began toggling (using "shift"+"F9") between
field codes and their results.  I needed to view the field
codes for a project I was working on.  Now they are always
toggled "on" whenever I open a Word document that contains
them.  That project is now complete, and I want the
default to go back to viewing the results only.

Is there a way to set the default to view field results
instead of field codes?

Thanks,
Cara

Cara,

Open your document template.  Tools>Options>View>Show and uncheck field
codes.  Save the template.

Thanks Greg.  It took me a while to figure it out because
I had some other Word documents opened.  But as soon as I
closed out of Word, and then went into the Normal template
and changed my options, it worked great.

Thanks!
Cara
