One of our applications uses Word merge with a text file.
When merge mail is selected, most systems with Win2k and
Office2k launch a Word with a popup windows allowing plain
text or other encoding (Unicode UTF8).  We then select
this default setting.

However, a couple of systems also with Win2k and Office 2k
launches Word without this popup Windows.  I would like
the all to behave this way.  How can I fix this so that
popup windows does not appears?

Regards
Ming

Hi Ming,

No guarantees on this, but try unchecking "Confirm
conversions on open" in Tools/options/General.
