I HAVE NO MAIL MERGE UNDER TOOLS MENU. I AM TRYING TO MALE MAIL..

I have read the help file over and over. It says open new doc and click "Mail
Merge" but I find no mail merge on my tools menu. i am using Office 2000 and
have no idea why I can't make mail labels with excel data using word and
Avery labels.

Any suggestions?

Any chance Word was installed as part of the Works suite? And the Works suite
was later removed? That's the common cause of this menu entry disappearing.

But you should be able to pull it out of Tools/Customize/Commands, category All
commands. Look for MailMergeHelper and drag it to the Tools menu.
