Word Mail Merge Field Code - How to apply them

Hi All

I have  a mail merge data list which has clients and contracts as two
fields.

One clients can have a single contract or multipe contracts. Where the
client has multiple contracts I wish to put them all together on a single
page rather than generate one page for each contract.

One of solutions is to use something like what microsoft proposes in the
article below

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=105888

I have couple of issues with this approach wonder if someone can help me
reach the solution

1. How do I apply the code given in the above article to my mail merge
document?

2. Secondly the way this article handles the breakdown of pages is using the
third field. I don't have that field in my document, can someone suggest a
better approach. Also the code only goes upto 4 levels down. Some clients in
my data can have anything upto 12 contracts. Is there a way to deal with
this.

Thanks

Word does not handle this very well.  It is better to use a report from an
Access database.

See the "Multiple items per condition" item under the "Special merges"
section of fellow MVP CIndy Meister's website at
