Extracting Data from Mergefields with VBA

I need to automatically print specific pages of a 4 page mail merg
document based on the content of a couple of mergefields.

I have an autoopen macro that is performing the merge upon opening th
document, but I do not know how to determine the value of th
mergefields contained in the document.  Thus, all four pages get merge
each time  - which is not what I want to happen.

Can anyone help me with this

It would be the data source that you need to interrogate rather than the
merged document.
