When using the mail merge feature in Word 2003, only a handful of Outlook
contact fields are available to insert into the document.  I would like to
see a product update or good workaround with the following changes:

1) Add nickname (note: there is a nickname database field, but it cannot be
mapped to the Outlook contact field by the same name).

2) Add home phone (strangely, home phone 2 and home fax ARE included).

3) Add home address and/or mailing address.

For access to more fields/more control, initiate the merge from Outlook.

Thanks, this takes care of the shortcoming with the Word mail merge from
Outlook contacts.  Another example of the many inconsistencies between Office
programs.

This is clearly a very common problem many people are having, each with
respect to different fields.  Unfortunately, the nature of the 'contact
Microsoft' page is such that uses are led to perform too specific & narrow a
search, which yields no results, and then create new postings for this same
problem.

Again, thanks for your help.
